On August 9, 2014 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. the Prince George Democratic Committee will hold a Nominating Caucus at two locations for the purposes of electing a Democratic Nominee for the November 4th Special Election to fill the 16th Virginia Senate District Seat formerly held by retired Senator Henry Marsh.
The two Caucus sites are:
Prince George County Courthouse
6601 Courts Drive
Prince George, VA 23876
Union Branch Baptist Church
3356 Union Branch Road
Petersburg VA 23805
(in the locality of Prince George)
This is an unassembled caucus meaning that eligible voters in the 16th Virginia Senate District may present themselves at either caucus site between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3:00 p.m to vote on the nominee of their choice. Such voters will have their eligibility to vote verified and will be asked to sign the commitment pledge prior to voting.
The precincts of Courts, Rives, Jefferson Park, and Union Branch are the Prince George precincts in the 16th Virginia Senate District.
